About Us

The owners of the newly transformed Huntsville Hair Co. are Genevieve Hartman and Melody Walker and it is effective as of 10/1.  Genevieve is an elite stylist that is known to be one of the best in Huntsville as she has been a constant at Grays Salon for the last 5 years.  Her knowledge and experience in the hair industry will be the centerpiece of the staff as they continue to grow and build.  Says Genevieve, “Ever since I became a hair stylist I knew someday I wanted to be a salon owner and when this opportunity came abroad, it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.  Having the opportunity to partner with Melody was also a huge plus for me.  She and I have become like sisters and share a vision and passion to make this prosper together.”  Melody is currently not a stylist at the salon, however she has run her own successful business for the past 16 years that is a client driven service business.  Her business background and leadership will also play a vital role in the administration side of the salon.  Melody will be actively involved in the salon though and increasingly play a larger day to day role.  Her daughter, Chloe, has been at the salon for 8 months now as an apprentice and is progressively working towards her cosmetology license as well.  Says Melody, “I've always had a strong interest in cosmetology so having the opportunity to be a partner with Genevieve was an easy decision for me to make because she truly is the best at what she does.  Having her as the lead stylist will be the foundation and platform for us as we continue to grow.  We both have different strengths we bring to the table and they complement each other well to form a strong team.  I am super excited for the future of Huntsville Hair Co. and the opportunity to do this with Genevieve!”
